Job Overview

Job Purpose
The Safety Officer will support the effective implementation of the HSE Management System at the project site. The role ensures compliance with statutory safety regulations, promotes safe work practices, conducts inspections, and contributes to building a strong safety culture across the project workforce.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and HSE policies
- Implement company and international safety standards at site
Site Safety Monitoring
- Conduct daily safety inspections across the project
- Monitor high-risk activities such as:
- Excavation works
- Working near live traffic
- Hot work
- Equipment and machinery operations
Incident Reporting & Investigation
- Respond to accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Assist in investigation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Training & Awareness
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions
- Promote safety awareness among workers and supervisors
Risk Assessment & Permit Systems
- Assist in preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems
