L&T Construction Hiring for Orange Gate Project in Mumbai
The Heavy Civil Infrastructure business vertical of L&T Construction has won multiple orders from prestigious clients. L&T has been awarded the contract for Organe Gate Twin Tunnel Project in Mumbai the client is MMEDA. The tunnels will be built using tunnel boring machines (TBMs) and the cut-and-cover method. The estimated cost of the project is around ₹6,500 crore. The project aims to significantly cut down travel time from over an hour to just 10 minutes. The project involves Constructing a 9.23 km underground tunnel road, with twin tunnels each featuring two lanes plus an emergency lane. This tunnel will provide a traffic-free route, easing congestion in South Mumbai and ensuring signal-free connectivity between the east and west coasts via the Eastern Freeway, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Coastal Road, and Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
