E- Growth & Mobility.The incumbent should possess the potential to grow over the next 3-5 years. The role is designed to be location agnostic, involving a 6-month on-the-job induction across various locations to ensure comprehensive exposure and experience.
F- EducationA Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mechanical) is required for this position.
G- Experience.Candidates should have 10 to 18 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
H- Key Responsibilities.In this role, you will be responsible for organising, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of mechanical maintenance activities across the entire plant. The goal is to ensure maximum plant availability to achieve production targets while maintaining optimum costs and enhanced safety. You will oversee continuous plant operation and end-to-end availability to meet budgeted production with a focus on safety, cost-efficiency, and power usage. Additionally, you will be tasked with ensuring qualitative maintenance during breakdowns and shutdowns, leading the safety agenda, and ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
You will plan, organise, and monitor maintenance activities to meet production requirements and targets. Continuous improvement will be a key aspect of your role, as you will be expected to study and recommend capital expenditure (Capex) jobs for equipment upgradation and debottlenecking. This will help improve plant availability and productivity. You will also coordinate, organise, and monitor the effective implementation of International Management Systems and other systems aimed at enhancing productivity and fostering a safe work culture. Improving Maintenance KPIs through preventive maintenance strategies will be another critical aspect of your responsibilities.
I- Strengths You Should Bring.To excel in this role, you should bring strong skills in preventive maintenance planning, safety, and environmental compliance. You should have a proven track record in implementing safety standards aimed at zero injuries and be adept at identifying trends and corrective actions. Cost optimisation is also a key component of this role.
