Position Details
- Position Title: Head of Project Engineering Management – OGH
- Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
- Department: Oil & Gas Hydrocarbon (OGH) Business Unit
- Industry: EPC / Refineries / Petrochemical / Infrastructure
Position Summary
The selected candidate will oversee overall engineering management of all projects under the OGH SBU (Oil, Gas & Hydrocarbon Strategic Business Unit). This leadership position is responsible for aligning engineering deliverables with business goals, client requirements, and project timelines to ensure successful completion of complex EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable the SBU to secure orders through effective proposal engineering.
- Drive value engineering initiatives and strengthen internal processes.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Engineering Schedules – tracking actual progress versus planned milestones.
- Provide pre-bid engineering support to Business Development teams.
- Offer detailed engineering support to the Project Management group, including design reviews, bid evaluations, and consultant coordination.
- Lead and assign Project Engineering Managers upon project approval.
- Participate in Project Kick-Off, Design Review, and Monthly Progress Meetings with owners and PMC.
- Conduct Contract Reviews and monitor compliance with multidisciplinary engineering clauses.
- Prepare Executive Progress Reports highlighting key concerns and corrective actions.
- Supervise Engineering Teams to ensure adequate project and manpower allocation.
- Track progress, identify delays, and implement recovery plans as needed.
- Guarantee that engineering deliverables align with project quality, schedule, and technical specifications.
- Support interface management between engineering disciplines.
- Assist in Engineering Risk Assessment and Opportunity Mitigation Planning.
- Manage engineering control quantities (BoQ, MTO) and address escalations or deviations.
- Oversee Project Engineering Closure Reports and lessons-learned documentation.

- Budgeted vs. Consumed Man-hours.
- Progress vs. Overall Engineering Schedule.
